The Colibrí Center for Human Rights is a unique initiative partnering with families, forensic scientists and humanitarians to end the death and suffering on our border. We believe in just policies that protect human lives. We believe that migrant rights are human rights. We believe that every human being has the right to know the fate of a missing loved one.
This season, we are turning to our community to ask for their help in raising $15,000 by the end of the year. We’ve themed this giving campaign “migrar es amar” or “to migrate is to love” because we believe that migrants and their families exemplify the verb “to love”. For so many, migration is an act of radical love: the love for one’s family that drives you to work to support them and the love for one’s self that helps you believe that you deserve a better life. Help us fight for this love by donating to our work.
Colibrí is a 501c3 nonprofit and all contributions are tax deductible. Please be sure to include a note in your donation or send us an email to [email protected] if you require a receipt for tax purposes.
Through this giving campaign, if you are donating in someone’s name, you may make a special note asking for a limited-edition e-card that lets that person know how grateful we are for the contribution.
Your individual donations are critical to helping Colibrí increase the capacity of our small, dedicated, and efficient team to continue our core work of taking missing persons reports from the thousands of families that contact us. We are deeply committed to this work and also deeply grateful to each one of our donors for giving us the continued opportunity to offer this service to the families.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your contribution!
