University of Arizona Honors College

The mission of The University of Arizona Honors College is to foster an enduring spirit of inquiry and discovery so that artistically and academically talented students develop the courage to address uncommon challenges and the commitment to promote social responsibility throughout their lives. The UA Honors College is leading the way in creating global citizens who will shape the future.

The UA Honors College has a strong national reputation for the unique Honors education it provides to undergraduates. They offer a challenging curriculum taught by award-winning faculty from across the university. These courses engage students through innovative pedagogy, interdisciplinary perspectives, and hands-on learning.  The UA Honors experience extends beyond the classroom through research opportunities, leadership experiences, and community-based projects. Our alumni commend the Honors education that they received for helping them grow personally and intellectually.

The Colibrí Center for Human Rights is proud to have a close partnership with the UA Honors College. For the past few years, we have successfully collaborated on the Human Rights in Action-Research Internship, an award-winning program that engages honors students in hands-on research and advocacy with Colibrí.
