WOLA

The Washington Office on Latin America is a leading research and advocacy organization advancing human rights and social justice in the Americas. It has been instrumental in bringing the issue of border deaths to the attention of lawmakers in Washington, DC. WOLA promotes human rights, democracy, and social justice by working with partners in Latin America and the Caribbean to shape policies in the United States and abroad.

Since its founding, the Colibrí Center for Human Rights has partnered closely with the team at WOLA to utilize research and data to inform policy makers about the largely-ignored crisis on the border.
